I've decided that I'll drag my digital camera into work over the next week or so, I work in the city so it'll be a great opportunity to get creative and hopefully get some good photos.
I'm fascinated by the unseen, for instance I love heading up to the top floor of the building that I work in (it has this dingy old apartment that has been abandoned for years) so I can see out across the city. What I particularly love is seeing all the tops of the other buildings - when big buildings are designed they're designed (aesthetically at least) from the ground up, ie they are intended to be viewed from the ground.

Yesterday I finally laid my father to rest. He passed away over a week ago at the age of 57.
We don't yet know why he died, the coroner is still looking into the matter. Initially I wanted to know why my father died but I guess now I don't really care anymore. All I know is that he went peacefully while sleeping in his chair.
Deep down I feel confused, how does one act when your father dies at such a young age? So many questions... no immediate answers.
I guess you could say I'm on a journey. I'm not exactly sure where I'll end up or how long I'll be going.
The aim is to try and rediscover my photographic talent. I took some awesome photos as a kid, especially considering the rather basic equipment I was using (no tripod or expensive gear, just a 40 year old camera that belonged to my great-grandfather).
Yet as I grew older my eye for composition faded - it was briefly revived during highschool when I did a photography class for a semester - and I want to see if I can recover it.
